Quarter 2
November
We are officially done with the first quarter (as of Thursday 11/2), YAY!!!! Report card pick up will be on Wednesday, November 15 from 12:00-7:00 (teachers have a break from 3:15-4:00). Please pick up the 7th grade report cards outside room 116. Please keep in mind that as a departmental rotation we have about 110 students, so please be patient while waiting to see a teacher.
7th graders are beginning to learn about Chapter 3, a more in depth look at cells and how they work. Specifically, we are going to be talking about photosynthesis and respiration. We will also be learning about the different elements to help prepare them for 8th grade.
For Social Studies, we are working on the Constitution. Part 3 will be given Tues Nov 14 and Part 4 on December 5. Once we have finished with the Federal Constitution we will be moving on to the state Constitution and their final test will be on Friday, December 15.
As Many of you know my family and I are expecting a baby girl towards the middle of December. Depending on when she wants to show her pretty little face will depend on my last day, but we are thinking it should be around the middle of December. During that time I will not be checking my email as I am going to maximize my time with my new addition to my family. Depending on how things go, I am planning on returning for the 4th quarter (end of April).
**I wish everyone a very HAPPY THANKSGIVING and Holiday Season!!!
